Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act” Psalm 37:7 NLT.
While you wait on God for answer to your prayers, here is what God wants you to do. Psalm 37:7 says, “Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act” (NLT). God wants you to wait patiently for him to answer your prayer. Have you noticed that most of us can endure waiting as long as we can grumble while we wait? But God says, “Be still.”
PEN THIS DOWN: WAITING on God and being STILL before Him is a technology in the spirit realm for speed and advancement. If you want speed, wait. If you want to get ahead, be still. Don’t be like a 2-year-old who get nervous and restless while waiting for God to answer a prayer. God says, “Wait patiently for me. Be still. Watch me act. Don’t get restless, don’t get nervous, and don’t try to take matters into your own hands.
One day God promised to make Abraham the father of a great nation. There were only three problems: Abraham was 99 years old, he was childless and his wife was infertile. Abraham looked at his condition and concluded it can’t be done. So Abraham took matters into his own hands and had a baby with his wife’s maid, Hagar. Don’t do this. Trust God and wait patiently for Him.
In response to Abraham’s action, God said, “No, you missed the point. That’s not my answer to your prayer. That’s your answer to your own prayer. I’ve got a miracle boy coming, and Sarah’s going to be the mom. You’re going to name him Isaac. When Sarah was told that she was going to become pregnant, the Bible says she laughed because she didn’t believe.
HEAR GOD’S WORD: Don’t take matters into your hand as you walk with God. He knows how to bring your husband to you. He knows how to bring that cash to you. Simply put your trust in Him and rest in faith. Impatience is very costly and your impatience can be your greatest ruin. God has a timing and he makes all things beautiful in his time Eccl 3:11. For every prayer you have prayed in faith, God heard and He has an answer waiting for you in His own way and timing. If you are getting tired of waiting on Him, simply ask God for the grace to wait patiently for Him.
HEAR ME: It is better to wait on God than to take matters into your own hand and run ahead of God. Wait patiently on God and watch Him act. Meditate on this scripture: Psalm 27:14: Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD! God bless you
CONFESS THIS ALOUD: I may not understand how God will do it, but I will wait patiently on Him and watch Him act. Confess this 3 times now.
